Ethan, a SkillsUSA/VICA photography alum, discussed with students the importance of good light, composition, professionalism, and the changes in commercial photography. He also discussed his business experiences working in the Palm Springs area advertising industry for over a decade since graduating from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.

Participating in a one-hour photography challenge in preparation for the SkillsUSA was a grateful experience. Although I am not part of the SkilsUSA, this has helped me improve in capturing a great photo with the importance of good lighting and composition.

ReplyDeleteThis trip was an excellent trip to do before we went to San Diego for are SkillsUSA competition. We learned how fast we had to be in order to go out and take the pictures,and come back and edit them, and then put them together in a fine art peace.
ReplyDeleteGoing on this field trip gave me a sense of what to expect for DATA SkillsUSA next year. It showed me how long you get to take pictures and what the judges look for. It also gave me some techniques.
