During the months of November and December 2009, DATA digital imaging students interested in graphic design worked with local graphic artist Joshua Butler. Joshua spoke to students about his high school experience at Idyllwild Arts Academy, earning a business degree from CSUSB, working as a web marketing manager for American Leak Detection, and his continued pursuit and passion for drawing.
The skills learned from this experience were further applied to more logo design challenges on Infectious.com and for the DigiCom Logo Design Challenge, Heinz Ketchup Creativity Contest 2010, Doodle-4-Google, and more on 99 Designs.

It was my first time using Adobe Illustrator. With the help of Joshua Butler, I was able to get the hang of Illustrator. I want to be a graphic designer and this was great experience for the future.
ReplyDeleteDuring this project I got to use Adobe Illustrator for the first time. Josh Butler walked us through it all the best he could, and he did a great job at it. I learned a lot about the world of graphic design and it was a fun experience.
ReplyDeleteBeing involved with this was really cool. Illustrator is a pretty useful program that compliments photoshop and flash.
ReplyDeleteDuring this we had to try to make a design for a shop that was just opening called the sizzor shack. Joshua helped us out by showing us exactly what they would look for although we never got to show the company it was still a good experiences.
