What's New for 2006

  • Photo/Digital Imaging student portfolios are now being created using Apple’s iWeb software.
  • At the Fine Arts Creativity Awards Show, Eddie Ochoa wins the very first valley-wide Joe and Pamela Bonino Award for Photographic Creativity from the Palm Springs Art Museum.  This annual event is open to all high school and college students in the Coachella.
  • Andrew Purnell, Nic Lesec and Joel Guerrero place in the Olympus/Tool Factory national contest Digital imaging student Richard Rodriguez creates 3D motion graphic for School is Cool aired on KMIR Ch6
  • DATA teacher Matt Cauthron attended the DELTA conference in Universal City, Ca. as a delegate for  the California Department of Education and the National Study Group on Arts Education for LAUSD. This initiative is working to design ‘Media Arts’ as the new strand of Visual and Performing Arts for California.  Additional national attendees represented were: California Arts Assessment Network, Arts Education Branch, The California Arts Project, and the State Collaborative on Assessment and Student Standards.
