On January 28th, aspiring educator Eamon Conklin returned to CCHS to observe and share his passion for photography with DATA Di students. Eamon, a 2003 CCHS graduate, earned his BA in Art from UC Riverside and his MA in Art from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. He spoke with Di students about his academic and creative pursuits, as well as his medium format urban and desert photographic studies.

2011 Palm Springs International Film Festival
On January 5th, DATA joined 1100 other Coachella Valley students for the kickoff of the 22nd Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival. This special event was made possible by the efforts of PSUSD Visual and Performing Arts coordinator, Louisa Castrodale, and Palm Springs International Film Society's Educational Programming Coordinator, Ken Jacobsen.
Students viewed two films, had Q&A with the director and cast members from Louder Than A Bomb, and Skype'd with the director of Soul Boy from her office in Nairobi. Lunch was also provided by Chipotle.

2010 Di Grad Returns from Full Sail
2009 DATA Di graduate Brenda Magana stopped by the classroom/studio right before winter break to share a few stories and her excitement for film studies at Full Sail University. Brenda courageously moved across the country after graduation, transferring the skills learned in the DATA program, to one of the best media-based schools in the USA.
