Geared Up for Skills

Have we grown? Yes! Five years ago the DATA program launched it's first SkillsUSA season with only 24 students. For 2015, we now have 142 members to include four educators and 138 students (121 from CCHS and 17 from Nellie Coffman Middle School). With more then 28 different skill and leadership contests and 5 different grade levels, it is very safe to say that our hands are full as we gear up for regional and state events!

Champions of Excellence

On November 3rd, The Foundation recognized a wide-range PSUSD's supporters of academy and career technical education. Not only were SkillsUSA officers present to speak about the DATA program, but DI students shot the event, and our very own Dianne Funk of the Indian Wells Art Festival was there to be honored for her amazing contributions to DATA over these years.

Día Dead 2014

Congratulations to DI Senior Jazmine Valles for her photograph earning 2nd Place at the 2014 Día de Los Muertos celebration at Desert Memorial Park!

The free community event on Nov. 1st showcased PSUSD high school and middle school artists, folkloric dancers, a community altar, music, food and family fun. Sponsored by The Well in the Desert and the Palm Springs Cemetery District.
